A Member's Waiver and Release must be on file before any Member may register and participate in water sports (sailing, kayaking, etc.) at the Medford Boat Club.   The release forms will be available at sign up day.  A Swim test is required for all children, age 14 and younger to take advantage of any water sports.  The test consists of each swimmer, swimming 4 laps and treading water for 2 minutes.  This test will be given every day at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 5:00 pm.  Once you pass this test, you will receive a “Pass” sticker to put on your ID.   Paddleboards will also be available for use for Members 18 AND OLDER.   

ANYONE using a MBC kayak, sail boat, paddleboard, or piece of water sport equipment is required to wear a US Coast Guard approved PFD (personal floatation device) along with a marine whistle fastened to the PFD.
