Thanks to Boat Club for support
To the Editor:
The Children’s Room would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Medford Boat Club and its members for supporting the 5th Annual Memories Walk and Fun Run. The Medford Boat Club donated the use of its entire facility and it staff Sunday, a rain soaked day. The rain stopped just long enough for all 300 walkers and runners to complete the three-mile circuit around the Mystic Upper Lakes from Medford through Winchester through Arlington. Our walkers and runners came from all over eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Everyone walked in memory of someone they had loved and lost and raised money for The Children’s Room, a non-profit that provides caring support to grieving children, teens and families. Our programs offer hope and healing after the death of a close family member. The Children’s Room has helped many families from Medford over the years, and we are so grateful to the Medford Boat Club for their amazing generosity that made our day a resounding success. It is only through the generosity of community that we are able to help so many children, teens and families who are grieving the death of someone close to them.
