PFDs (aka "Life Jackets") Required

PFDs must be worn at all times while on sailboats, paddleboats, kayaks, etc.  THIS INCLUDES PARENTS!!  PFDs must be worn by children UNDER THE AGE of 15 while on sail docks, fishing docks, work docks, etc. The Medford Boat Club does not provide PFDs.  Each family is responsible for purchasing, maintaining and storing PFDs. Use of Club Sailboats

Persons wishing to use Club Boats must be registered in Sailing Lessons, must have the approval of the Sailing Instructor and must have the approval of the Sailing Committee. Use of club boats when an instructor is not present at the club will be dealt with on a case by case basis.  

Private Boat Ownership

Club boats are available for use during sailing lessons.  Beyond the Beginner level, families are encouraged to purchase an N-10 for use in lessons and regattas.  This can be done on an individual family level or as a joint purchase.  There are many postings at the club for N-10s available for sale.  See Sail Staff for more information.

Below is a small list of volunteer items to help make 2016 the Best Year Ever.  Remember, this helps the children and helps earn your volunteer hours!!

•  Assist in the maintenance of the club sailboats
•  Assist in the maintenance of the club powerboats
•  Assist in interclub regattas
